DECV’s Employability course is ideal for people who are currently unemployed and looking for work, or who is thinking of returning to work after an illness. The course generally runs alongside our ICT course.
The course covers the following topics:

  • Job searching (See below)
  • self employment
  • preparing for interviews 
  • Universal Credit
  • MS Office
  • Internet Skills
  • Email

  • 19+
  • Have a valid NI Number
  • Resident of Dearne North/South
  • In receipt of benefit

  • Register for Online Jobsearch sites
  • Carry out effective online job searches
  • Complete online application forms
  • Upload your CV to agencies and job sites
  • Set up folders to archive job applications
  • Practice for your CSCS card
