Functional skills Maths
Who it’s for
This qualification is suitable for you if you want:
- a formal Edexcel functional maths qualification
- to become more confident in using numbers
- to demonstrate your maths skills on a CV
- progress on to further education
Course duration
The course varies in length but most learners take 36 weeks to complete one level. You will attend once a week for 2 hours.
Course content
You will improve your maths skills within a group of learners working towards the same qualification.
Topics might be:
- using number
- fractions, decimals and percentages
- calculating with money
- using shapes to solve everyday problems
- graphs and charts
Entry requirements
You will need to complete our short initial assessment with a qualified tutor. This helps us to find the class that’s most suitable for you.
Course fees
Functional maths courses are free.
